Presence — your public website
A website that keeps itself up to date.
Your company’s public site, built from the production you are already running. Shows, auditions, events and news publish themselves as the season moves — so it is current in March, not just in the week before opening.
Presence is part of the free base product. Your own web address from day one.
Every company’s website is out of date.
Somebody built it four years ago, in something nobody else knows, and they have since moved away. The front page still advertises a show that closed in 2023, the auditions notice went up three weeks late, and the person with the password is on holiday.
Presence is a website that already knows what your company is doing, because it is the same system you run the show in.
How it works
Switch it on, then get on with the show.
There is no separate site to maintain, because the site reads from the production.
Switch it on
Presence is a switch, not a project. Turning it on publishes your site at your own address straight away.
Because that is a real event, Prompter counts what is about to become public and names it first — the shows, the events — rather than quietly putting your season on the internet.
Choose a look, not a designer
Four templates — Marquee, Footlights, Playbill and Spotlight — with one-click colour palettes to start from, then your own brand colours, fonts and corners on top. Paste a web address you like and Prompter will match its palette for you.
Every edit saves to a private draft with a live preview beside it. Nothing your audience can see changes until you press Publish, and Discard puts it back.
Let the season fill it in
The show you are rehearsing appears On Stage, with its poster, season dates, venue and description, and its own page to share. Open your auditions and the Auditions button appears; move past Pre-Production and it closes itself.
Archive a finished show and it moves to Past Shows. That is the part a volunteer-run site never gets round to, and it is the part nobody has to do here.
Add what is not a show
A quiz night, an AGM, a workshop, a weekly improv session — events appear in What’s On, each with its own page and a Contact organiser button. They can collect RSVPs as a headcount, and past events drop off the list on their own.
News posts cover everything else: a title, a body, publish or keep as a draft, with pinned posts leading.
See whether it is working
Reach reports visits, average daily visitors, page views, your top pages, the split between the website and your audition pages, and which countries people come from.
It is cookieless, so your site needs no cookie banner — and it deliberately cannot follow a person from one day to the next.
What you get
A real website, not a placeholder.
All of it on the free tier.
On Stage and Past Shows
Your current production, with poster, season dates, venue and its own shareable page. Finished shows move themselves into Past Shows when you archive them.
Public audition pages
One stable sign-up link per production, live while the show is in Pre-Production. It works whether or not the website module is switched on.
What’s On
Events that are not full productions — socials, workshops, AGMs — as a list or a grid, each with its own public page and an optional RSVP form.
News
Short company updates, published or held as drafts, with pinned posts leading the section.
Four templates
Marquee, Footlights, Playbill and Spotlight, with musical-inspired colour palettes to start from and full control of brand colours, fonts and corners after that.
Match a look you like
Paste the address of a site whose palette you want and Prompter matches it — a starting point you then make your own.
Your logo, on every tier
Upload it once, trim its edges and set its size. It appears on your website whatever you pay, and on Produce+ it carries through to ticket and audition pages too.
Reach
Visits, average daily visitors, page views, top pages and countries — measured without cookies, so there is no banner to add.
Draft, preview, publish
Every change is private until you publish it, with a live preview you can pop into its own window. Discard reverts the lot.
Your address
Somewhere to send people.
yourcompany.get-prompter.app
Claimed when you create your company, on every tier, and permanently yours. It also powers your public audition links — which keep working even with the website switched off.
yourcompany.org
Bring your own domain on Produce+. Prompter serves both the plain address and www, and your own becomes the canonical one for search engines and new audition links. Your Prompter address never stops working underneath it.
We connect custom domains with you rather than leaving you to it — get in touch and we will set yours up.
Your logo is on your website whatever you pay. The free tier carries one footer banner saying the site is powered by Prompter; Produce+ replaces it with a quiet one-line credit.
Questions.
Do we have to build the website ourselves?
No. The site is generated from the company and production information already in Prompter. You choose a template and a colour palette, and the pages fill themselves in — the show you are rehearsing appears on the front page, and your finished shows move to Past Shows on their own.
What web address do we get?
Your own Prompter address — yourcompany.get-prompter.app — claimed when you create your company and yours permanently. It also powers your public audition links, which keep working even if the website itself is switched off.
Can we use our own domain name?
Yes, on Produce+. Your own address becomes the canonical one for search engines and new audition links, and Prompter serves both yourcompany.org and www. Your Prompter address never stops working and stays as the permanent fallback. We connect custom domains with you at the moment rather than leaving you to it — get in touch and we will set it up.
Does the free version put your branding all over our site?
No. Every company — free included — shows its own logo on its own website. What the free tier carries is a single footer banner on each page saying the site is powered by Prompter. Produce+ replaces that banner with a quiet one-line credit.
Do you track our visitors?
Not as people. Presence reports visits, average daily visitors, page views, top pages and countries, and it does it without cookies — so your site needs no cookie banner. The identifier is rebuilt every night, which means the same person visiting on ten days counts as ten visits and Prompter genuinely cannot follow anyone from one day to the next.
